Where to buy cheap ice skates?

I recently went ice skating and realised that I really liked it. I am willing to pay £35 for a pair of nice ice skating boots but I don%26#039;t seem to be able to find any. Most of them are figure skating boots and I really don%26#039;t want them. Do you know anywhere I can get some decent but cheap ice skates from?!

Thanks

Where to buy cheap ice skates?
Decent and cheap don%26#039;t often go together. Most people buy either hockey or figure skates, but there is an alternative. Jackson makes an inexpensive, mediocre skate called the %26quot;Softec%26quot; that looks like a running shoe. They come with either a hockey or figure skating blade. You can%26#039;t use them for advanced hockey OR figure skating because the boot and blade are only intended for beginners. The boots are a bit stiff and forward-leaning, like a ski boot, but the inside is well-padded and comfortable. CCM makes a similar skate that might be available in your area.

Good luck.

EDITED TO ADD:

You can buy Riedell versions of the Jackson Softec from SkateBuys - they ship internationally.

Reply:Don%26#039;t buy used!!! The padding moulds to your feet to a certain extent so a used pair would be really uncomfortable!

Reply:ebay?
Reply:If you don%26#039;t want figure skates, are you after hockey skates, speed skates or recreational skates?
Reply:You can try e-bay, but I%26#039;m not really sure where you can get skates for $35. Play it again sports is where I got my first pair of skates for about $40, but I don%26#039;t know if they have any of them in the UK (I%26#039;m assuming you are in the UK, because you are using Euros). Most pairs of decent figure skates usually cost about $75-$100, but you can buy some less expensive ones that work.
Reply:i`d try ebay.
Reply:You can usually buy used skates at a low price. Make sure that the blades are in good condition. It also helps that the skates are already broken in.

I wouldn%26#039;t suggest using e-bay if you want to get a cheap pair, you can%26#039;t see how sharp the blades are. If they are really dull, you may have to spend around 80 bucks to sharpen them at a pro shop and you never know what condition they are in.
Reply:hockey or figure
Reply:your local rink should sell them ,or go on ebay and look for a shop called
