Stopping on ICE SKATES?

how can u stop on ice skates not on hockey skates??

Stopping on ICE SKATES?
you stop by quickly coming to the side
Reply:Easiest Stop - %26quot;The Snowplow Stop%26quot;:


1. Lift your stronger foot just above the ice


2. Put it down and make sure you%26#039;re on your outside edge


3. Push out





Moderate Stop - %26quot;T Stop%26quot;:


1. Lift your stronger foot just off the ice


2. Place it behind the back of the blade of your skating leg


3. On your inside edge, push down until stopped





Hard Stop - %26quot;Hockey Stop%26quot;:


1.Go into a two-footed glide


2. Bend your knees!


3. Turn and push down on the ice

Reply:its pretty much the same thing! you can stop on figure skates thet same way as hcokey...





also, ask a coach or teacher of some kind to show you or tell you the different kinds of stops.
